Job Responsibilities:

• Transport passengers or goods in a safe, timely and legal manner.
• Load and unload cargo or passengers according to company policy.
• Follow traffic laws and adhere to established driving standards.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle to ensure safety and maintenance requirements are met.
• Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any problems encountered during the journey in the vehicle logbook or on an electronic device.
• Communicate with passengers regarding any safety issues or other concerns during the journey.
• Ensure that all necessary permits are obtained prior to transport of certain goods such as hazardous materials, live animals, etc..
• Monitor road conditions and watch for potential hazards while driving the assigned route or destination
• Follow appropriate procedures if an accident or other emergency situation occurs while on the job
• Refuel vehicles at designated stops when necessary
• Report any mechanical problems with assigned vehicles to management immediately
