Job Responsibilities:

• Process import and export documentation for customs clearance in compliance with local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing the clearance of goods.
• Liaise with customers to answer any queries they may have regarding their shipment.
• Liaise with shipping agents, freight forwarders and other third parties to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Verify the accuracy of incoming documents prior to processing them for clearance.
• Calculate customs duties, taxes, fees and other charges as applicable.
• Collect payments from customers for import/export related charges such as customs duties/taxes etc.
• Provide assistance with resolving any issues related to customs clearance process.
• Maintain records of all shipments cleared through Customs including details of taxes/duties etc paid.
• Monitor changes in legislation affecting the import/export process to ensure compliance at all times
