Purpose of the Job
The Corporate Business Development Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding market presence by identifying and securing new business opportunities, as well as strengthening relationships with existing key accounts. This role requires a customer-centric approach, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the industry landscape to tailor solutions that meet clients’ needs while aligning with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for all commercial activities in China
- Formulate the company’s overall commercial plan including sales, marketing, and profit targets based on company development strategy and market changes
- Promote the effective implementation of the plan
- In-depth study of international courier, air freight, and sea freight industry trends, business models, market demand, and competitive landscape
- Integrate the characteristics of all three businesses into the commercial strategy
- Identify commercial opportunities and avoid industry risks
- Formulate and implement sales and marketing strategies combined with company budget and overall business plan
- Optimize pricing strategies and service systems for different business segments
- Improve customer acquisition and retention capabilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of advertising, marketing promotion, and brand building activities
- Focus on promoting courier, air freight, and sea freight business advantages
- Enhance the company’s commercial influence in the Chinese market
- Effectively convert cargo flow and customer needs into commercial opportunities
- Coordinate internal resources to provide customized solutions for key customers
- Provide training and guidance to stimulate team potential
- Monitor dynamic changes in the Chinese market and logistics industry
- Collect market intelligence and competitive information
- Conduct in-depth market analysis
- Provide data support and decision-making suggestions
- Draft the annual budget of the Chinese commerce department
- Supervise and control actual expenditure
- Optimize allocation of commercial resources
- Regularly report to the GM in writing on work progress, business achievements, problems, improvement plans, and future work plans
- Put forward strategic suggestions related to commercial development
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth progress of overall business
