Job Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the type of structure to be built.
• Measure and cut materials according to specifications using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Assemble and join materials with bolts, screws, nails, or glue.
• Raise structural frames and shape steel girders according to blueprints specifications.
• Install insulation, drywall, and other materials as necessary for construction projects.
• Repair or replace damaged structures as needed.
• Operate heavy machinery including cranes and bulldozers in order to move building materials into place for construction purposes.
• Dig trenches for drainage systems or footings for foundations when necessary.
• Inspect completed work to ensure that it meets safety standards and building codes before finalizing the project
