Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to Inspection Requests (IRs) from contractors, ensuring timely and effective action.
- Evaluate shop drawings against contract specifications, local codes, and international best practices.
- Document and report any discrepancies in contractor work that do not align with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor the quality of work on-site, assessing safety and environmental compliance in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain thorough records of daily site activities, including progress photographs, for inspection purposes.
- Prepare detailed surveillance reports addressing any deficiencies and non-conformance reports (NCR) as necessary.
- Ensure effective coordination among various disciplines involved in the project.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve discipline-specific issues that arise during project execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in infrastructure projects.
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Experience in Roads and Infrastructure projects within the UAE is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices in construction.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain high standards of safety and quality on-site.
