Job Overview

Location: UAE (Dubai / Abu Dhabi or relevant emirate)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Department: Finance / Accounting

Reports To: Finance Manager / Accounts Supervisor

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is a plus

Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience; exposure to UAE accounting / compliance / VAT environment advantageous

Role – Accountant

You will be responsible for carrying out accounting operations including preparing financial statements, managing payables & receivables, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with local regulations (VAT etc.), assisting with budgets & forecasts, and supporting audits. Accurate, timely financial information enables better decision-making and successful operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of transactions.

• Manage accounts payable: receiving invoices, verifying, matching, processing payments.

• Handle accounts receivable: raising invoices, following up on collections, resolving disputes.

• Reconcile bank statements and other relevant ledgers.

• Prepare monthly / quarterly / annual financial statements, management reports.

• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and other regulatory requirements.

• Support external & internal audits; prepare audit schedules and required documentation.

• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline.

• 2-5 years hands-on accounting experience.

• Knowledge of UAE financial & tax regulations (VAT, financial reporting).

• Proficiency in accounting software & strong Excel skills.

• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, ability to work to deadlines.

• Good communication skills, both written & verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team; high integrity and confidentiality.
