Job Overview
As a Supervisor Workshop at ADNOC, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing maintenance activities within the workshop. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all equipment is available, reliable, and functioning at optimal levels. This position demands a proactive approach to planning and supervising maintenance tasks, ensuring that all operations adhere to safety and quality standards.
You will be instrumental in coordinating the maintenance and repair of mechanical stationary equipment, overseeing fabrication and repair processes, and ensuring compliance with HSE management systems. Success in this role is defined by your ability to effectively manage resources, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise maintenance and repair activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
- Schedule and oversee installation, maintenance, and testing of mechanical equipment to guarantee operational reliability.
- Direct the fabrication and repair of piping and structures, ensuring compliance with HSE and operational procedures.
- Assess the scope of work required, prioritize tasks, and provide technical guidance to craft groups.
- Organize and ensure the availability of necessary tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Monitor task progress and completion, providing reports to ensure quality execution.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in work orders.
- Manage the Tool Store operations to maintain adequate stock levels at all times.
- Prepare requisitions for spare parts and materials, ensuring specifications meet operational needs.
- Train and develop workshop staff to enhance their skills and proficiency in their roles.
- Contribute to the preparation and implementation of departmental budgets, monitoring variances for effective cost control.
- Implement departmental policies and procedures to align with company standards and regulations.
- Participate in emergency response activities as part of the safety team.
- Provide input for management information systems and progress reports for company oversight.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in workshop activities, ideally within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, execution, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage teams and resources effectively.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including occasional site visits.
