Job Overview
As a Light Duty Driver at Emirates Flight Catering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and services. You will be responsible for adhering to UAE traffic regulations while managing a fleet of vehicles. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting test drives for new vehicles, managing daily trip sheets, and communicating effectively with both internal and external customers. This role is essential in supporting the operational needs of the company while promoting a positive image through professional interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to UAE traffic regulations and report any health and safety hazards to your supervisor.
- Conduct driving tests on new vehicles to ensure they meet operational standards.
- Ensure proper loading of vehicles to prevent accidents caused by shifting loads.
- Utilize alternate routes and sound judgment to optimize travel time and fuel efficiency.
- Maintain accurate daily trip records and provide necessary information to the operations assistant.
- Pick up and deliver processed items and linens to clients according to established schedules and ad-hoc requests.
- Regularly clean and maintain the vehicle to ensure hygiene and minimize contamination risks.
- Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Certificate is required.
- A valid UAE Light Duty Vehicle License is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience on UAE roads.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
