Job Overview
KEO International Consultants is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join its award-winning team in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. The successful candidate will manage the contract lifecycle, provide commercial support, and help protect the client’s financial and contractual interests throughout the project.
The role involves contract administration, payment assessments, variation and claims management, risk monitoring, tender support, and project close-out activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contracts, agreements, and related documentation for completeness and compliance with established procedures.
- Support the Project Management Team in tracking and managing tenders and ongoing contracts.
- Monitor compliance with contractual requirements, milestones, and internal procedures.
- Analyze historical contract data, variations, and trends and provide recommendations to project leadership.
- Maintain the Contract Management Information System (CMIS) and secure contract records.
- Prepare regular contract status and progress reports for management.
- Maintain logs of correspondence, claims, tender documents, and other contractual records.
- Provide contract administration, tendering, and commercial support as required.
- Evaluate contractor payment applications, interim payment certificates (IPCs), and final accounts against verified site progress and quantities.
- Review variation orders, change requests, and contractor claims and assess their cost and time impacts.
- Coordinate with site supervision teams to verify completed works against contractual requirements, approved drawings, and specifications.
- Track contractual notices, extensions of time (EOT), and liquidated damages.
- Support project close-out, including taking-over certificates, defects liability monitoring, and retention bond release.
- Assist in managing contractual disputes and resolving ambiguities through effective contract interpretation and risk management.
- Review contractor insurance policies, performance bonds, and advance payment guarantees to ensure they remain valid and adequate throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar contracts administration role.
- Experience working within a PMC environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, commercial management, claims, variations, and payment processes.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience managing contractual risks and project commercial matters.
- MRICS / RICS affiliation or qualification is a strong advantage.
