Job Overview

Dar Al Riyadh is hiring a Sr. Landscape Architect for its operations in Tabouk, Saudi Arabia. The position involves overseeing landscape and architectural works across large-scale residential and infrastructure developments, ensuring construction complies with approved designs, IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, codes, quality standards, and client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in landscape and architectural supervision, including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, residential developments, public-realm works, and multidisciplinary construction coordination. Saudi Arabia or GCC project experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor landscape and architectural works for compliance with approved designs, IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, codes, and client requirements.
  • Review hardscape works, including paving, kerbs, walkways, plazas, boundary treatments, landscape structures, street furniture, and public-realm elements.
  • Review and supervise softscape works, including planting, trees, shrubs, groundcovers, soil preparation, and related landscape activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor irrigation systems and their interfaces with utilities, drainage, electrical, and infrastructure networks.
  • Review residential architectural works, including external finishes, façades, entrances, boundary walls, architectural details, and landscape interfaces.
  • Review contractors’ shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, samples, mock-ups, and technical proposals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction against approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate landscape and architectural interfaces with civil, roads, utilities, drainage, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
  • Identify design clashes, constructability issues, and interface conflicts and coordinate their resolution.
  • Support integration between infrastructure development and residential or superstructure construction.
  • Monitor contractor progress, resources, materials, potential delays, and quality issues.
  • Participate in technical and coordination meetings with clients, developers, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Review technical submissions and provide recommendations to PMC and client management.
  • Participate in inspections, snagging, punch-list preparation, rectification, testing, and final handover.
  • Support the review of variations, change requests, quantities, and technical justifications related to landscape and architectural works.
  • Maintain technical records and contribute to weekly and monthly reports, progress monitoring, risk identification, and issue tracking.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture.
  • A Landscape Architecture degree may be considered for candidates with strong architectural and residential/housing project experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience as stated in the requirements.
  • Strong experience in large-scale residential and housing developments.
  • Demonstrated experience covering both landscape and architectural works.
  • Strong hands-on experience in hardscape, softscape, irrigation, public realm, and external works.
  • Experience across both infrastructure and superstructure/building phases.
  • Previous PMC, engineering consultancy, or construction supervision experience is strongly preferred.
  • Saudi Arabia or GCC project experience is highly preferred.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred/required where applicable.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape and architectural construction, materials, specifications, BOQs, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
  • Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination, QA/QC, constructability, variations, and project controls.
  • Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
