Job Overview
KPMG Bahrain is hiring an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and deliver high-quality assurance services. This role is ideal for qualified audit professionals with strong experience in public accounting, financial reporting, and banking audits. The successful candidate will work with a diverse client portfolio while leading audit teams in accordance with KPMG’s global audit methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion.
- Develop audit strategies based on client risks and business objectives.
- Supervise audit teams, assign workloads, and monitor project progress.
- Review audit evidence and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
- Prepare management letters and audit reports for senior management review.
- Respond to client queries and provide practical audit solutions.
- Manage audit budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Ensure engagements are completed within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Support financial reporting and other assurance-related assignments.
- Maintain strong client relationships while ensuring service quality.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, or CIA.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Minimum 5 years of public audit experience, including at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Previous experience with a Big Four audit firm is preferred.
- Experience auditing banking clients with knowledge of IFRS 9 and Basel regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and audit best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
