Job Overview

Maaden is seeking an experienced Manager, Maintenance ARGP to lead fixed plant maintenance operations at its Mansourrah Massarah gold mine in Saudi Arabia. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the processing plant while maximizing equipment availability and supporting continuous operational improvement.

The successful candidate will oversee maintenance strategies, plant reliability, shutdown planning, budgeting, and team leadership while working closely with production, supply chain, projects, and safety teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all maintenance activities while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance safety standards, permit systems, isolation procedures, and contractor safety requirements.
• Improve plant availability, equipment reliability, and overall maintenance performance.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Lead root cause investigations to reduce equipment failures and unplanned downtime.
• Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, work prioritization, and backlog control.
• Plan and execute major shutdowns, inspections, and maintenance projects safely and efficiently.
• Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, labor costs, spare parts, and contractor expenses.
• Optimize maintenance costs through improved planning and reliability initiatives.
• Oversee CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM or Oracle EAM to maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Analyze maintenance data and KPIs to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Collaborate with operations, projects, and supply chain teams to improve plant performance.
• Support equipment upgrades, plant improvements, and capital maintenance projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional maintenance or reliability certification such as CMRP is an advantage.

Experience Required

• 12–15 years of maintenance management experience within gold mining, mineral processing, or base-metals operations.
• Strong background in managing fixed plant maintenance and reliability programs.
• Experience leading large maintenance teams in heavy industrial environments.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems including SAP PM or Oracle EAM.
