Al-Futtaim Retail is hiring Pickers (Online Grocery Fulfillment) for its Marks & Spencer (M&S) Food stores across the UAE. This full-time retail opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in supermarkets, warehouses, grocery stores, e-commerce fulfillment, or retail operations.

As a Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing online grocery orders for home delivery and Click & Collect while maintaining high standards of product quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Order Picking & Fulfillment

• Pick customer orders accurately using handheld scanners or mobile devices.
• Prepare online grocery orders within the required delivery timelines.
• Verify product quantity, size, flavor, and quality before packing.
• Prioritize urgent and scheduled orders to meet service deadlines.
• Maintain high productivity while ensuring order accuracy.

Product Quality & Freshness

• Select fresh, chilled, frozen, bakery, and grocery items carefully.
• Check expiry dates, packaging, and product condition.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures.
• Handle product substitutions according to company guidelines.
• Report unavailable or damaged items to the team leader.

Packing & Dispatch

• Pack products securely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Separate frozen, chilled, ambient, and fragile products.
• Label and prepare orders for delivery or Click & Collect.
• Ensure every customer order is complete before dispatch.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Report stock shortages and damaged products.
• Assist with stock replenishment and inventory control.
• Support stock counting and warehouse organization.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Follow HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain proper cold chain procedures for chilled and frozen products.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and hygienic.

Operational Support

• Meet daily picking and productivity targets.
• Follow company operating procedures and fulfillment standards.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings.
• Support store operations during busy trading periods.

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Basic knowledge of handheld scanners and digital picking systems.
• Understanding of food handling and quality standards.
• Physically fit to walk, lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail, supermarkets, warehouses, grocery stores, e-commerce, or fulfillment operations.
• Previous online grocery picking experience is preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners or handheld devices is an advantage.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial.
• Good English communication skills (Arabic is a plus).
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
