Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, learner-centered English lessons that encourage participation, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Implement the English Language Curriculum effectively across assigned grade levels (Grades 1–12).
• Create a positive, language-rich classroom environment that supports English language development.
• Apply effective teaching strategies and best practices to improve student learning outcomes.
• Support students by identifying learning needs and providing appropriate guidance.
• Monitor, assess, and record student progress according to MOE assessment standards.
• Maintain accurate academic records and performance reports.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and school stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and education specialists to improve teaching resources and learning materials.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, training programs, school events, and professional development sessions.
• Work effectively in a multicultural environment and contribute positively to the English Department.
• Represent the school and department professionally at all times.
• Plan lessons effectively and manage teaching responsibilities efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

For Expatriate Candidates

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Language & Literature, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-year degree qualification.

Teaching Experience:

• Without teaching certification: Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching experience in schools.
• With an accepted teaching qualification: Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience.

Accepted Teaching Certifications Include:

• UAE Ministry of Education Teaching License
• B.Ed / M.Ed
• PGCE (QTS not required)
• PGDE
• H.D.E / H.E.D
• NTS
• DELTA (Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training)
• CELTA (Master’s level only)
• TESOL (Master’s level only)

English Language Requirement:

• Excellent English proficiency required.
• TOEFL iBT score: 94–109
• OR IELTS Academic score: 7.0
• OR IELTS General score: 7.5
• Certificates must not be older than 3 years.

Age Requirement:

• Maximum age: 55 years

For Emirati Nationals

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Language & Literature, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-year degree qualification.

Experience:

• No previous teaching experience required.

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum GPA: 2.5
• Excellent English proficiency required.
• TOEFL iBT score: 94–109
• OR IELTS Academic score: 7.0
• OR IELTS General score: 7.5
• Certificates must not be older than 3 years.
• Maximum age: 55 years.
