Opportunity: Inclusion Teaching Assistant

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about special education, inclusion, and student support.

As an Inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with:

• Inclusion teachers

• Director of Inclusion

• Classroom teachers

• Parents

• External support agencies

Your goal will be to ensure that students with additional learning, behavioural, or developmental needs receive the targeted support required to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Support & Intervention
• You will provide both in-class and small-group assistance, implementing learning support and behaviour strategies that help students access the curriculum confidently. The role includes supporting literacy, numeracy, focus, organisation, independence, and emotional regulation.
• Inclusive Classroom Practices
• A major part of the role is fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment, where every student feels valued and supported regardless of their learning differences.
• Monitoring & Reporting
• You will track student progress, maintain records, and provide structured feedback to teachers and the Inclusion team to continuously improve intervention strategies.
• Parent Collaboration
• Working alongside families is essential. You will assist with meetings, communicate student progress, and help maintain strong partnerships between home and school.
• Safeguarding & Wellbeing

Maintaining the highest standards of child protection, safeguarding, and wellbeing is central to the position. Professionalism, empathy, and ethical conduct are expected at all times.

Qualifications & Experience Required

This opportunity suits candidates with experience in SEN support or inclusive education roles.

Preferred background includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Inclusion or SEN roles

• Experience in British/Cambridge or international schools

• Knowledge of KHDA guidelines

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Passion for supporting young learners
