YAS Medical Centre is looking for a Junior Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will support the accounting functions, assist with financial reporting and reconciliations, maintain accurate records, and help ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid accounting foundation and 3–6 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions including accounts payable/receivable, receipts, and disbursements.
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries; assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and other financial records.
Assist in preparing financial reports and management accounts.
Support payroll processing and maintain accurate payroll records.
Assist with tax filing, regulatory compliance, and audit preparation.
Maintain and organize accounting documents and files; ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.
Monitor expense reports, invoices, and payments; resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure accurate financial information.
Support budgeting, cost control, and forecasting activities as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Average Salary Range
OMR 350 – OMR 550 per month — Typical for junior accountants in Oman with relevant experience (3–6 years). (Market-based estimate for accounting roles in Muscat/Al Buraimi)
