Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, maintain and repair refrigeration systems, chillers, cold-rooms, and HVAC equipment.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults — compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, refrigerant leaks, etc.
Perform preventive maintenance and regular servicing to avoid breakdowns.
Handle refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and re-charging safely.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and relevant documentation.
Maintain service logs, maintenance records, and report work completed or required.
Coordinate with clients, facility managers, and other technicians to schedule maintenance and repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and handling of refrigerants.
Provide emergency repair services when needed.
Uphold company standards of quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications & Skills
7–12 years of relevant experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or similar technical field.
Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems (compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerants, HVAC controls).
Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical/electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance.
Experience with refrigerant handling, leak detection, recovery, and re-charging.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and HVAC schematics.
Good physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (cold-rooms, rooftops, machine rooms).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills — able to coordinate with clients and colleagues.
Valid certification or diploma in HVAC / refrigeration / relevant technical trade would be preferred.
Salary & Benefits
OMR 9,940 – OMR 12,240 / month (approximate for experienced technicians in Muscat with 7–12 years experience)
