Department: Claims / Survey / Loss Adjustment
Reports To: Claims Manager / Survey Manager
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred
Experience: 3–8 years in motor surveying, auto damage assessment, or claims adjustment
Skills: Strong technical understanding of vehicle systems, great attention to detail, good customer-service and negotiation skills
Role – Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site and off-site inspections of damaged vehicles.
Assess extent of damage and prepare detailed condition and repair reports.
Estimate repair costs, coordinate with repair shops, and recommend appropriate actions.
Document vehicle survey findings with photos, diagrams, and cost projections.
Negotiate claim settlement with insurers, clients, and garages.
Liaise with insurance adjusters, clients, and external stakeholders.
Provide technical advice on vehicle repair methods and parts.
Stay up-to-date with automotive technology, repair standards, and insurance practices.
Required Qualifications & Attributes
Strong technical background in automotive mechanics or engineering.
Proven experience in motor claims surveying or an insurance/adjusting environment.
Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
Ability to assess vehicle damage accurately and estimate realistic repair costs.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a claims team.
UAE driving license often required.
