A reputable engineering / construction company in the UAE is seeking a driven Assistant QA/QC Engineer to support its quality assurance and control function. In this role, you will assist with quality checks, inspections, documentation, and compliance across projects.

Job Overview

Role – Assistant QA/QC Engineer

You will provide hands-on support in the quality assurance and control processes by performing inspections, testing, and documentation. You will work closely with the QA/QC team to ensure that project deliverables meet specified standards and help maintain quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in site inspections for materials and workmanship (concrete, steel, welding, finishes, etc.).

  • Support generation and maintenance of inspection and test plans (ITPs).

  • Document non-conformances (NCRs) and help follow up on corrective actions.

  • Conduct tests and assist with lab-based quality checks.

  • Support the QA/QC team with daily documentation, reporting, and quality control records.

  • Coordinate with project teams (construction, procurement, engineering) to ensure quality compliance.

  • Participate in internal audits and quality review meetings.

  • Help maintain quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or equivalent.

  • 1–5 years of experience or relevant exposure to QA/QC processes.

  • Basic understanding of construction quality standards, inspection techniques, and testing.

  • Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with QA software or systems is a plus.

  • Willingness to work on construction sites and in a team environment.
