Role – Technical Sales Engineer

You’ll act as the bridge between product engineering and customers, translating technical specs into business value. Your day-to-day will include identifying prospects, preparing technical proposals, doing product demonstrations, providing after-sales technical support, and working closely with engineering and operations to deliver the best solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify prospective clients (industrial, commercial, or technical)

  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to client needs

  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates

  • Liaise with the engineering / product team to ensure accurate technical specifications

  • Provide technical support post-sales, assist in commissioning or troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and projects teams for smooth delivery

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

  • Support the development of sales strategies for technical products

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field

  • 3–7 years’ experience in technical sales or sales engineering

  • Good technical understanding of the products sold (mechanical, electrical, or system-level)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen

  • Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering/operations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
