Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related technical field preferred

Role – Lab / QC Inspector
You will perform inspections and laboratory tests on piping materials (metals, welds, coatings, etc.), verify compliance with quality specs, document results, and work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve any non-conformities. Your role is essential in ensuring product integrity and adherence to standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct material inspections (incoming raw materials, welds, coatings, etc.) in the lab and on the shop floor.
Perform tests like hardness, dimensional checks, visual inspections, and non-destructive testing support.
Record, analyze, and report inspection data and test results.
Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs (non-conformance reports), and recommend corrective actions.
Work with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing / inspection equipment.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports and certificates.
Participate in quality audits and process improvement initiatives.
Enforce safety and quality standards in the lab and production areas.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
3-8 years of experience in lab inspection, QC, or quality assurance in manufacturing or piping.
Good understanding of materials testing, welding, dimensional inspection and quality standards.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and quality documents.
Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
Good communication and report writing skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with QC databases is a plus.
Knowledge of safety practices in lab and shop environments.
Salary & Market Insight
