Role – Medical Coder

As a Medical Coder, you will review medical documentation (discharge summaries, treatment notes, lab results), assign correct diagnostic and procedural codes, ensure coding accuracy, and collaborate with clinical and billing teams. Your work will help streamline billing, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient charts, medical records, clinical notes, and discharge summaries.

• Assign correct ICD-10, CPT, or other relevant medical codes.

• Validate documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with coding standards.

• Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and medical records to clarify any documentation issues.

• Participate in coding audits and quality assurance checks.

• Generate reports on coding productivity, errors, and trends for management.

• Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulatory changes, and healthcare documentation best practices.

• Support billing and revenue cycle teams by ensuring accurate and timely coding.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2–7 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.

• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, or other relevant coding systems.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Coding Software.

• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCA) is a plus.
