Role – Safety Officer
You will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and enforcing HSE policies and procedures across project sites. This includes conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, training and liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement site-specific HSE plans, procedures and programs.
Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.
Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Deliver safety training, toolbox talks and inductions to site staff, subcontractors and visitors.
Monitor and report HSE performance metrics, KPIs and compliance status.
Coordinate with site management, operations, QA/QC and subcontractors on safety matters.
Ensure regulatory permits, licenses and HSE documentation are up to date.
Support project hand-over, close-out and ensure all safety files are complete.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE or related field preferred.
10–16 years’ experience in safety roles on construction, contracting or industrial projects.
Valid HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) and Kuwait site-safety permit experience advantageous.
Proven ability to communicate in English; Arabic is a plus.
Strong analytical, observation and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Kuwait HSE regulations, safety auditing and incident investigation.
Salary & Market Insight
