Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field preferred
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in HSE role; exposure to audits, site inspections, compliance in the Gulf region is an advantage

Role – HSE Officer
In this role you will ensure day-to-day implementation of HSE protocols, carry out site inspections, monitor compliance with safety regulations, conduct audits and support the organisation in building a strong safety culture. You’ll work closely with operations teams to identify risks, initiate corrective actions and provide regular reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine HSE inspections and walkthroughs across service sites.
Support the implementation of HSE policy, procedures and preventive measures.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor adherence to safety standards.
Assist in incident investigations: record root cause, track corrective actions, and ensure reporting.
Maintain safety documentation, logs, permit-to-work records, and compliance reports.
Support training and toolbox talks for field personnel on HSE awareness.
Assist with audits (internal/external) and follow up findings with action plans.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify hazards and implement controls.
Required Qualifications & Skills
2-4 years’ experience in an HSE role within industrial / service / construction environment.
Understanding of Oman’s safety regulations and HSE best practices.
Certifications like NEBOSH IGC or OSHA are a plus.
Strong observational, documentation and communication skills.
Proficient in English; Arabic skills are beneficial.
Ability to work on site and coordinate across teams, flexible and proactive mindset.
Salary & Market Insight
HSE Officer salaries in Oman for junior roles are commonly in the range of OMR 500-900/month, depending on experience and sector.
Given the role requires 2-4 years’ experience and is based in Sohar (industrial zone), a salary around OMR 600–800/month is appropriate.
