Job Overview

Role – Project Manager – HVAC

You will lead the full lifecycle of HVAC projects including design verification, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning. You will manage project teams, ensure budget compliance, coordinate with stakeholders (clients, consultants, authorities), and drive delivery on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of HVAC projects (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, fans, duct systems) ensuring project objectives, scope, timeline and budget.

• Serve as main interface with clients, consultants and government bodies (e.g., Bahrain Civil Defence, EWA) to secure approvals and resolve site issues.

• Develop detailed project schedules, coordinate engineering/procurement/site teams, identify delays and implement corrective actions.

• Monitor budgets, control costs, review variations and maintain profitability.

• Supervise engineers, supervisors and technicians; assign tasks, review performance and drive accountability.

• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, method statements and ITPs; ensure compliance with standards and specifications.

• Conduct site inspections, enforce quality and safety standards; coordinate installation and commissioning activities.

• Coordinate procurement vendor selection, material delivery, contract negotiation and logistics for HVAC equipment.

• Maintain documentation: contracts, drawings, approvals, progress reports, handover packs.

• Identify risk and ensure mitigation strategies; ensure adherence to company policies and Bahrain regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in HVAC project management within Bahrain or GCC region (10-12 years listed).

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, installation and commissioning, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs etc.

• Experienced in project scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera), AutoCAD, MS Office.

• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive, organised and able to drive multidisciplinary teams under pressure.

• Valid GCC driving licence is preferred.

Salary & Market Insight
