Role – Technical Clerk
You will support the technical team by handling documentation, tracking equipment or work orders, coordinating with various engineering/maintenance units, ensuring accurate data entry, and assisting with technical reporting. This role is key to ensuring that technical operations have the support and records they need to run smoothly and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update technical documentation (drawings, equipment logs, maintenance records).
Track work orders or maintenance tasks; liaise with technicians and engineers to verify completion.
Enter and maintain data in technical/maintenance systems; ensure records are accurate and up to date.
Coordinate between engineering, maintenance, procurement and admin teams to ensure parts, equipment or work orders are tracked.
Prepare periodic reports showing status of equipment, pending tasks, documentation completeness.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures, technical standards, and regulatory record-keeping.
Support audits or inspections by ensuring documentation readiness.
Handle basic correspondence or communication relevant to technical administration.
Required Qualifications & Skills
1-4 years’ experience in a technical support, documentation or engineering clerk role.
Good understanding of engineering or maintenance workflows; ability to read technical documents or drawings is advantageous.
Strong organizational and data-entry skills; attention to accuracy and detail.
Good communication skills; ability to coordinate across departments.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ideally familiar with technical or maintenance software systems.
Reliable, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks in a timely fashion.
Salary & Market Insight
For Technical Clerk roles in the UAE, data from salary surveys suggest an average base salary of around AED 128,976 per year (~AED 10,700/month) for more senior levels.
More general clerk positions in the UAE have averages around AED 3,500/month, with a range up to AED 5,500.
