Role – Operations Officer – Islamic Bank

You will handle a variety of operational and transactional banking tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Tasks include handling customer transactions, processing fund transfers, managing clearing and settlement, maintaining accounts, and ensuring that all operations meet internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily banking operations: account maintenance, customer transactions, deposits/withdrawals.

• Handle fund transfers, clearing and settlements efficiently and accurately.

• Reconcile discrepancies in transactions or account records; escalate issues as needed.

• Ensure compliance with banking rules, internal policies, Sharia / Islamic banking operational standards.

• Coordinate with back-office, treasury, risk, and compliance departments as required.

• Prepare operational reports; track performance metrics, error rates, processing times.

• Maintain customer confidentiality and service quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Solid experience in banking operations / transaction processing.

• Good attention to detail, accuracy in record-keeping.

• Understanding of banking systems and operations (e.g., clearing, settlements, transfers).

• Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines.

• Good computer skills; familiarity with banking software and MS Office.
