Role – Well Testing Supervisor & Operator
You will manage and execute well testing operations: setting up test equipment (separators, meters, pressure gauges etc.), supervising crew, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, collecting and validating test data, preparing test reports, and ensuring efficient operations. As Supervisor & Operator, you will also handle troubleshooting, downtime coordination, and liaise with engineering / HSE teams.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and execute well tests including equipment rig-up, separator operations, flow measurement.
Supervise a team of operators: assign tasks, ensure safe work practices, equipment checks, and performance.
Monitor and control test parameters—pressure, temperature, flow rates, separation efficiency.
Ensure compliance with HSE protocols: permit to work, safety meetings, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
Troubleshoot operational issues in the field; coordinate repairs or adjustments to maintain testing schedules.
Maintain equipment condition: calibration, preventive maintenance, inspection and reporting.
Collect, record, validate test data; prepare accurate reports for engineering / production teams.
Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on test processes, safety, efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
6-12 years cumulative experience in well testing (acting both as operator & supervisor).
Strong knowledge of well test equipment and field operations (separators, meters, sampling etc.).
Proven leadership / supervision skills; able to lead small crews in challenging field environments.
Solid understanding of health, safety & environmental regulations in oil & gas operations.
Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs; basic data analysis skills.
Good communication skills; ability to report clearly and coordinate with teams.
Salary & Market Insight
The average salary for Well Testing Supervisor in Kuwait is about KWD 1,350-1,650/month, with a range typically from KWD 1,200 to KWD 1,800/month depending on experience, responsibilities, and location.
Operator roles have lower averages but leadership + supervisor duties will position this role at the upper end of that bracket.
