Job Overview

Role – Laundry Attendant

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for handling all tasks in the laundry department: sorting, washing, drying, pressing / ironing, folding, and ensuring all linen and uniforms are returned in time and in excellent condition. You’ll also help keep the laundry area clean, machines well-maintained, and follow safety and hygiene standards closely.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, sort and inspect linens, uniforms, towels, bedding, and other cloth items for staining, wear & tear.

• Operate laundry machinery—washing machines, dryers, ironers, presses—according to operation protocols.

• Press, iron, finish, and fold linen and uniforms to hotel standards.

• Manage inventory of laundry supplies (detergents, chemicals, softeners) and report shortages.

• Maintain cleanliness and order in laundry work areas and equipment; clean lint filters, remove debris, ensure safety.

• Follow safety & hygiene procedures, handle laundry chemicals properly.

• Report any damaged items, machine malfunctions or equipment issues to the supervisor.

• Meet turnaround times for linen & uniform delivery, supporting housekeeping and guest services.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in laundry operations / hospitality laundry preferred.

• Basic knowledge of fabric types and care, ironing / pressing skills.

• Ability to follow instructions, work with standard laundry machinery safely.

• Physical stamina: lifting, bending, standing for long periods, handling heavy loads.

• Good communication skills; able to understand instruction in English (and Arabic if required).

• Attention to detail; ability to ensure quality of finish.
