About the Role & Employer

This role is with a Systematic Hedge Fund operating out of the UAE, deploying quantitative / algorithmic strategies. The Operations function is being built or expanded, with heavy focus on technology, process, accuracy, and compliance. The firm is expected to work closely with service providers, regulators, and internal stakeholders to maintain high operational standards. Job Overview

Role – Investment Operations Manager

As Investment Operations Manager, you will lead the operational backbone for the fund. This includes oversight of trade execution, settlements, reconciliation, vendor & custodian relationships, performance reporting, regulatory & compliance reporting, and ensuring that all downstream processes (e.g. risk, finance) receive clean, timely, high-quality data. You’ll help build or improve operational workflows, interface with technology systems, and ensure scalability & reliability of operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee trade lifecycle: execution, matching, settlement, reconciliation across asset classes.

• Manage third-party service providers: custodians, fund administrators, brokers, technology vendors.

• Ensure proper performance attribution, portfolio exposure tracking, and accurate reporting to stakeholders.

• Coordinate with compliance, risk, legal teams on regulatory reporting, audits, and control frameworks.

• Maintain technology & infrastructure needed for operations: data pipelines, tools, automation.

• Identify process gaps and implement improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Lead & mentor operations team; define KPIs & ensure SLAs are met.

• Ensure documentation, SOPs, workflows are up-to-date and audits / due diligence materials are available.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum ~5 years’ experience in investment operations or trade operations in a hedge fund / quantitative / systematic strategy environment.

• Solid understanding of multi-asset class operations.

• Good vendor / custodian management experience.

• Familiarity with performance reporting, attribution, portfolio exposure, P&L validation.

• Strong technology / systems mindset: ability to work with data pipelines, automation, tools for reporting and reconciliation.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision, risk control, and compliance.

• Professional certifications (CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
