Role – MEP Engineer (Construction)

You will be responsible for supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems on construction sites. This covers mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, liaising with contractors & consultants, resolving issues on site, ensuring work complies with design / regulatory / safety requirements, and maintaining documentation for progress tracking and handovers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications; ensure clarity and feasibility on site.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to align scope, resolve clashes, and ensure smooth execution.

• Supervise installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems: HVAC, lighting, power distribution, fire protection, etc.

• Ensure site quality by enforcing inspections, tests (e.g. pressure, insulation, continuity, etc.), and commissioning protocols.

• Maintain safety protocols and ensure all operations comply with local codes, safety / HSE regulations.

• Monitor progress vs plans; raise issues, delays, or variations; propose corrective actions.

• Prepare and maintain site documentation: daily reports, as-built drawings, site variation records, test & commissioning reports.

• Provide technical support to field teams; assist in troubleshooting on site.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering (or equivalent).

• 3-6+ years of construction site experience with MEP installations in the UAE or similar market.

• Good knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical power/light, plumbing, fire protection.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications.

• Familiarity with local authority / regulatory / safety standards.

• Strong communication & stakeholder management; ability to coordinate site teams and contractors.

• Problem solving mindset with ability to work in fast-paced, field-driven environment.
