Job Overview

• Location: UAE Dubai

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field; master’s or specialized training is a plus

• Experience: 7-10+ years in design roles; at least 3-5 years in supervisory / management capacity

Role – Design Manager

You’ll be responsible for leading the design process from concept through execution. Oversee design quality, mentor team members, coordinate with other disciplines (structural, MEP, branding, etc.), ensure projects meet aesthetic, functional, and client requirements, and maintain timelines & budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of designers, ensuring delivery of high-quality design output.

• Oversee development of design concepts, mood boards, sketches, prototypes, and detailed design deliverables.

• Ensure coordination between design, technical, and execution teams to align on constructability, materials, detailing.

• Review and approve design documentation, drawings, renders, and ensure compliance with standards/regulations.

• Collaborate with project managers to define milestones, deadlines, resource planning, budgets.

• Interact with clients & stakeholders to present design proposals, gather feedback, refine designs.

• Drive innovation in design: materials, finishes, technologies, sustainability where applicable.

• Maintain design quality control and ensure consistency across all projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, or related discipline. Additional certifications or postgraduate credentials preferred.

• 7-10+ years of experience in design, with several years in leadership or managerial roles.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-delivery work: architecture, interiors, or product design.

• Proficiency with design software / tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp / Rhino / etc.), rendering tools, and strong understanding of detailing.

• Experience coordinating with other disciplines: technical, structural, MEP, finishes.

• Good client-facing skills, presentation skills.

• Time management, organization, ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
