Role – OSH Engineer

As OSH Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, ensuring site compliance with local OSH regulations, carrying out inspections and audits, and working with various stakeholders (contractors, site teams, management) to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular safety inspections, site audits, and hazard identification in all project or operational sites.

• Ensure compliance with UAE safety laws, OSHAD-SF / other relevant authorities, and company safety management systems.

• Develop, review, and monitor safety policies, procedures, method statements, and safety plans.

• Conduct incident/near-miss investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective action.

• Train site teams, contractors, and employees on safety awareness, PPE usage, emergency procedures.

• Maintain accurate safety records, prepare reports, and track metrics (accident rate, lost time incidents etc.).

• Liaise with regulatory authorities; ensure audits & inspections satisfy statutory requirements.

• Support management in driving continuous improvement in safety culture and practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Safety certifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, OSH Practitioner / Lead Auditor) preferred.

• 3-7 years of OSH / HSE experience; experience in construction or industrial settings preferred.

• Familiarity with UAE OSH regulations, safety codes, and standards (e.g. OSHAD-SF, ISO 45001).

• Strong communications skills; ability to lead training, reports, investigations.

• Good analytical mindset; ability to identify risks and enforce safety controls.

• Attention to detail and solid documentation skills.
