Role – Airport Engineering Consultant

You will be responsible for designing and overseeing airport infrastructure projects – including runways, taxiways, terminals, aprons, airside support systems, and associated civil works. You’ll engage with aviation authorities, review technical standards, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, optimize operations, and deliver solutions that enhance airport capacity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead airport infrastructure design: runways, taxiways, aprons, terminal access, airside/landside interfaces.

• Conduct airport master-planning, capacity analysis, growth projections, operational modeling.

• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, civil & structural designs.

• Coordinate with aviation authorities, clients, consultants, contractors on design standards, regulatory approvals, safety requirements.

• Oversee design compliance with air safety, environmental, operational, and building codes.

• Provide technical input into procurement, cost estimation, scheduling, and contractor evaluation.

• Monitor project implementation on site: quality control, safety, timelines, and engineering specifications.

• Generate reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders and senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Civil, Structural, or Aeronautical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree is an advantage.

• 8-12+ years relevant experience in airport or large infrastructure projects, especially airside/airport operations.

• Strong understanding of airport design standards, aviation safety regulations, ICAO/FAA or local equivalents.

• Expertise in using engineering / design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, site layout / modeling tools, etc.).

• Proven experience coordinating with aviation authorities, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem solving.

• Ability to travel to project sites; manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
